about

This track is about cabin fever during the winter. I live in Big Bear City and we get crap tons of snow up here during the winter months and if you don't have a 4WD vehicle, you're stuck at home with your own thoughts. And it sucks. Especially if you make the mistake of not stocking up on food, drinks, and any medication you might need. And then the electricity goes out so your phone stops working, leaving you cut off from civilization. It's enough to screw with anybody's sanity, really.

lyrics

[Verse 1]
I think I’d rather burn out than fade away
I didn’t ask for my life to be this way
Must I fight until my end of my days?
I think I’d rather burn out than fade away

[Chorus]
Twisted thoughts inside my head
Wondering if I’m better off dead

[Verse 2]
Welcome to my nightmare
Please stay for awhile
I’ll run my fingers through your hair
And choke you as I smile

[Chorus]
Twisted thoughts inside my head
Wondering if I’m better off dead
Well now the joke’s on me
I’m snowed in inside my head

[Guitar solo]

[Verse 3]
Lord have mercy on me
As I battle the sickness within me
I keep fighting until my dying day
I think I’d rather burn out than fade away

[Chorus]
Twisted thoughts inside my head
Wondering if you’re better off dead
Well now the joke’s on you
I’m snowed in inside your head

about

Joker Big Bear, California

We all can go insane with just one bad day. And I've had plenty of bad days. Then after going to the 2019 Harvest Crusade down in Anaheim and rededicating my life to Jesus Christ, I decided to use my songwriting to please God. I was tired of getting stabbed in the back so many times and playing in certain bands that never went anywhere. This project is me letting go of my past. Enjoy the ride. ... more
